bait rigs for begginers
« on: November 12, 2009, 02:54:52 PM »
i thought of starting this thread for all new to sea or freshwater fishing. The idea is, there are many experienced guys on the forum.
If they can take a pic of their baited rig and a short  description on how it is done. E.g hook size, sinker size, species targeted etc. Then it can help others to learn it and broaden ideas for baiting thier hooks.
So please all the guys take a pic of your hook bait before casting and post it when you get back to the office or home to help others enjoy the sport.

Sparky will be the only one not posting anything, as he gets the Overwind Meister to bait his hooks for him...   :hysterical:
Every Monday it's the same...can't wait for that next Vas Pappa feeling at the weekend...{sigh}...

well he could always post what his overwind looks like, so others can see what happens when you forget to use the thumb rule. :swear: :drinking:

:thanks: yeah it will be nice to see how others bait their hooks with sards, whole or pieces. Chokka or what ever they use. As pictures are always easier to undertand than just words. So hopefully we can all bait up to catch succesfully, as most know it is not an easy task to catch in the sea, and wives are getting suspicous, as the only thing that comes home from fishing is a half sober man and no fish. So when we say we going fishing it is, like saying i am off to the pub to go watch the game. :party2: :fishing: :drinking: :fishing2: :drinking: :drinking: :hysterical:

Hey Sparky, do you only fish with circle hooks these days? I noticed them in the photos you posted.

yep 99% circle hooks ,they work for me, the bait combo OM built there is chokka/plilchard combo sometimes i think i need the guys from csi to figure out what he's doing but it works for him so i guess its each to his own (his versions definitely get more scent going than mine)

:thanks: sparky. I am glad someone has not forgot us begginers. These look great and will definately be on my list to make up. The mullet looks interesting. With each type, is it to target different species and what is the best sized hooks to use. Going to print them out and keep it in my tackle box.
